- Counseling
He has experience working with adults, teens, and
children, couple, families, and addictions.
- He has worked in several different settings, including a
private practice, working at a residential treatment center
with teens who were oppositional, defiant, and often had
substance abuse problems (obtaining employee of the
month after only three months of being there), a
community agency, an intensive residential treatment
program for addictions, and community corrections
setting.
- Currently, Max not only provides counseling in a private
practice, he also works as a treatment supervisor at a
local facility.
- Related Experience
- Prior to becoming a counselor, Max worked with
children, teens, and their families in several different
capacities, including family preservation specialist (in-
home counseling and skill-building), foster care home
supervisor, mentor program supervisor, and parenting
program facilitator (teaching behavior management,
stress management, household management skills), and
program manager of a child placement agency
(overseeing the foster care, family preservation, and
mentor programs).
- Previous Life Experience
- When Max was younger, he worked construction. Then,
later, he worked as an advertising representative prior to
getting involved in the helping profession
